Instructions:

Phase 1 (Preparation):

Create a closed forum (on Moodle, for example) in which the students post the link to their presentation.

– Create teams of 4 telecollaborators each one pair per country


Phase 2 (Production):

Create a presentation on nightlife options for their partners (by using the software Sliderocket online)

Ask every pair to think about the nightlife options in their town

– Where is this place (geographical situation)? What kind of place is it (description)?

– What’ s the atmosphere like? What is so charming about this place?

Ask the pairs to search for photos or take some themselves, which relate to the place they have chosen.

After having looked at the tutorial for using Sliderocket (the link is provided under ” suggested resources” ), the pairs create their presentation the document should at least introduce 6 different locations.

Phase 3 (exchanges):

Each pair chooses the place it likes best in the partners’ pair’ s presentation.

The pair makes its choice known and the reasons for its choice by providing a comment in the forum.


Phase 4 (wrap-up in class):

Discussion of task instructions for the production, about the quality of the exchange and the recordings.

Finally make the presentation available for all internet users in Sliderocket by choosing that option.

Criteria for Completion:

The telecollaborators were able to discover numerous information about the nightlife of my city. They have chosen a place they liked among the places in the presentation and have explained their choice.
