Description

We will examine stories of health, illness, and disease written by physicians, patients, and the public all over the world. We will explore the process of writing through the lens of healers, patients, organizations, and laymen. Together we will examine the intersections of cultures, societies, economies, histories, policies and how they impact lived experiences of disease, wellness, and health. We will analyze experiences in the US with those abroad and reflect on the ways systems and beliefs mediate our own and other people’s understanding of and approach to health and illness in an increasingly connected world.
